STI and the University of Auckland have teamed up for an exciting groundbreaking snowboarding research project! Recently crews from both labs headed to Big Bear Mountain for some on snow testing. ESPN was there to check it all out, read about it below!
STI is proud to announce our partnership with the University of Auckland department of Sports and Exercise Science. Together the two research institutions are collaborating on a ThirtyTwo snowboard research project. The goal of the study is to determine the amount of impact force and the range of motion of the ankle, knee, and hip joints while snowboarding. Recently STI traveled down to New Zealand to check out and help out with the research.
On February 11, 2008 STI hosted a special media day in the lab. Magazine editors from around the world were flown in to get a sneak peak of what happens in the lab on a daily basis.

January 2007, STI appears in the documentary film Stuntwood: The Birth, Life and Death of a Skateboard, which wins the award for best documentary at the 2007 X-Dance Film Festival in Park City, Utah.
On October 10, 2006, STI was featured on the Discovery Channel during its TV show "Daily Planet".
