Ryan Sheckler

Ryan Sheckler is one of the top up-and-comers in skateboarding today. His skating is strong and consistent, as he fearlessly launches his small frame onto the biggest spots around. Street, tranny, skateparks, contests, videos--at such a young age, Ryan is already the master of it all.

Born December 30, 1989 in San Clemente, California, Ryan first started skating at age of four in his driveway with the neighborhood kids. Three years later, his new backyard mini-ramp helped him improve by leaps and bounds, soon propelling him into the local skatepark scene and a CASL State Championship victory every year he entered. In fact, Ryan's talent at nabbing contest wins is snowballing today. Right after turning pro in early 2003, he quickly proceeded to bag back-to-back world-class professional events like the Slam City Jam, Triple Crown New Jersey, Gravity Games and the X Games.

All of this exposure has led to Ryan appearing in commercials for Gogurt, Kellogg's Frosted Flakes, the Sony Vaio video camera and two movies, The Grind and MPT 2. More recently, Ryan has also filmed full parts for a few videos like Digital, Volcom and Almost Skateboards.

During off-board hours, Ryan enjoys riding his Yamaha YZ85 dirt bike, snowboarding and surfing, as well as a little headbanging to Metallica, AC/DC and rap like 50 Cent. With such a successful past behind him, Ryan's future goal to be "one of the best pro skaters ever" doesn't seem so outrageous. In fact, it seems most likely. Needless to say, keep an eye on Ryan Sheckler, as he is sure to be breaking it off in the years to come.
