While physical testing provides us valuable information on the individual performance characteristics of a shoe or boot, it’s also important to understand how our footwear is performing where it’s used the most: out on the streets or up on the mountain. In order to do that, STI enlists a group of special individuals to help wear test our shoes and boots and provide us with valuable feedback during the development stage of the design process. As our footwear and boots are being developed, samples will be made and given to our wear test riders who will take them out and put them through the paces. At the end of a couple of weeks, the riders will bring back the shoes or boots and discuss with STI engineers what they thought of them. Our designers then use that information to either approve or make necessary changes to a shoe or boot to ensure it provides the best performance for your foot.
